Through the analysis of primary sources, epigraphical evidence, archaeological findings, and scholarly works, this study enriches our understanding of the dynamic political landscape and cultural interactions in ancient India.

Origins and Chronology of the Kshatraps

In this chapter, the focus is on exploring the origins and chronology of the Kshatraps. It provides a historical context and examines the emergence of the Kshatraps as regional rulers in western and central India. The chapter discusses the chronology of Kshatrap rule, including the dates and reigns of significant Kshatrap rulers. It also explores the interactions and relationships of the Kshatraps with contemporary Indian dynasties, such as the Satavahanas and the Guptas.
